Fixing Your Heart
By Deryl S. Lampkin
The heart is similar to the hard drive of a computer system. It is the place where all information and data files containing all the history and deeds of your life are stored. It is your sub-conscious mind.
The sum total of the actual information data stored in your sub-conscious mind defines the spirit of your mind. The heart is the container or storage place and the spirit is the content stored in that place. It is the same as with the computer; the hard drive is the storage place where all program and user data is stored.
If the main hard drive of a computer system is empty, the computer will be incapable of doing any creative work. But once certain software is installed on the hard drive, the computer can execute functions, tasks, and produce creative work. So likewise, if there is no information installed in the heart of your mind (the sub-conscious), like a newborn baby, you will only be able to carry out inborn functions. As you receive mind programming information like words, alphabets, numbers, concepts and principles, this information is what enables you to become a more functional and productive human being.
So this is why the Bible says in
Pro 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it [are] the issues of life. And also in
Mat 15:18 | But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: |
Our minds have been programmed with worldly, foolish, corrupt, erroneous, and sinful information, thoughts and beliefs. We can’t help but produce results according to the way we have been programmed. When we reprogram our mind with the principles and commandments of God, then we can produce the results in our lives that please God.
Renewing the mind requires deleting counter-productive and self-defeating programs from our mind and installing God approved and recommended programs. Worldly and flesh serving programs are spiritual viruses capable of destroying your life and sentencing you to hell and damnation. If you do not delete the viruses, they will constantly interfere and corrupt the good programs and cause undesirable effects in your life.
He that has ears to hear, hear and obey what the Spirit of God is communicating.

Good morning DSL,
This post appears in my #FacebookMemories for all things February 9.
I read it again and totally agree with you. If one allows the “viruses” of the past to continue to infect their brain, these viruses will corrupt all attempts to reprogram or any at a program update. I especially appreciate the bible verses that you included.
God bless you.

Poochie, I love this. Your analogy is very insightful and made so easy to understand. May God continue to bless you with spiritual insight in dividing and sharing Gods’ words of truth.
