What’s “Really” Real?

The Spiritual World Vs The Physical World
All things in the physical world are mere iconic representations of spiritual world realities. What is real is that which cannot be destroyed or altered by mankind or any other entity. It is eternal in nature. It exists in the absence of physical manifestation.
The term real is a relative term. What is real depends upon what you are making reference to, comparing, or evaluating. For example: if you had an authentic U. S. dollar bill, counterfeit dollar bill, and a Monopoly game dollar bill, they all are real in the sense that they all are physical, tangible matter. In respect to using them as legal tender to purchase goods and services, two of them may land you in jail. So in this case, the counterfeit and the Monopoly dollar would not be considered as real money.
Consider yourself. Is the physical you “the real you”, or is it just a physical representation of “the real you”? When you die, is that the end of “the real you” or is that just the end of the physical representation of “the real you”?
I believe that “the real you”, is a spiritual entity that is formless, intangible, invisible, and eternal in nature. The spiritual eternal you, existed well in advance of the physical representation of you. The spiritual eternal you will continue to be real eternally, long after the physical you have perish.
Therefore, what we consider to be real (the physical manifestations of life) is not really all that real. What is truly real is everlasting. But, the things that are temporal are mere icons of the real things they represent. Physical things can only be considered real in context to the physical environment. They are only real in the sense of tangibility.
As humans, we tend to seek after things intended to teach us spiritual principles and concepts. Jesus, frequently used parables to teach us about spiritual realities. We must first be able to grasp visible concepts and ideas before we can perceive and make sense of invisible ones.
Consider the production of a movie. A writer produces a movie script. To more vividly illustrate the point I am about to make, a movie producer chooses to bring this movie script to life using graphical animation. In this format, the characters, scenery and props all have to be created, formed, and produced. Notice, that the script tells the story. It is the blueprint and basis of the movie that will be produced.
First, the words, thoughts and ideas that formulated the script came from somewhere. It came to the mind of the writer and the writer used symbols i.e. (alphabets and punctuation marks) to produce the thoughts in his mind, in a visible written format. This format makes it convenient and easy to share the thoughts and ideas with others.
Next, the movie producer has to bring together all the components necessary to transform the script into an animated movie. Graphic artist draw the characters, props, and sceneries necessary to bring the script to life, and animators gives life and perspective to these graphical renderings. Note, that these animations and graphical depictions are not real. They are temporary iconic representations of the thoughts conveyed in the script. These animations are mere figment of someone’s imagination. Their primary purpose is to express an idea in a revealing, dynamic, multimedia format.
I used this concept of producing an animated movie from a movie script to present a more profound point and reality. This idea demonstrates the power and ability of man to write out a script and then take that written document and bring it to the movie screen in an animated expression. I submit to you, that if man has the power and ability to do such a thing, how much the more does God, (who made man and gave him this capability) has the capacity to do the same on a grand scale?
God in His infinite wisdom authored a script and produced and directed the animated movie version of that script. He designed, created, and formed all the characters, props and sceneries necessary to bring His script to the mega screen of life. The animated objects including man and all of nature are all temporary elements created for the motion picture movie production of God’s script.
When God said “Let there be Light”, when He setup the heavenly host (the sun, the moon, and the stars), when He created the elements and systems of nature, He was setting His stage for the greatest story ever written and the biggest blockbuster ever produced. His movie is called “The Creation and Evolution of Life”.
In conclusion, the physical world is often referred to as the “real world”. However, it is only real in respect to its visibility and tangibility. It is “perceived” reality, it is superficially real, but not authentically real. The things that can be seen are all temporal iconic physical representations of something that cannot be seen. That which is invisible, formless and intangible, is eternal and spiritual in nature and is as real as real can be. Only that which is “immutable and eternal” is “categorically” real.
